I am a MBACP registered psychotherapeutic counsellor. I qualified, with distinction, from the Northern Guild for Counselling and Psychotherapy with a graduate diploma in psychotherapeutic counselling. I also have a BA Honours degree and a certificate in Psychology.
My private practice is in New Brancepeth, close to Durham. I have worked in various settings: GP surgeries, schools, private practice and charities.
I work with clients, both short term and long term. My approach to counselling is integrative; I work with clients to design a pathway best suited to achieving their individual requirements.
The theoretical approaches on which I draw are largely humanistic and include person centred, transactional analysis, neuroscientific theory, psychodynamic theory and gestalt. To find out more about these theories see here.
